Reading Tutors: Yes or No?

I have a second job as a lifeguard and in my job I see many children. I alas have them read first aid material some of the time and I am astonished at the amount that can read and read good out there ( not as many as you would think ). I also noticed the ones that have decent reading skills communicate better and understand directions better. I see this daily and know that I what my child to not end up like the ones that have problems reading. This is why I have no problem with signing them up with reading tutors when the time comes. I know I want my child to have the best change of excelling in today world and if reading tutors will help give him the advantage then I am going to take it by all means.
